I had contractions for about 5 hours yesterday. They increased in intensity and frequency over time but then stopped around 10:45pm. This could have been pre-labor or false labor, so I choose to believe it was the former.
I'm feeling a bit of the same cramping this morning that I experienced when the contractions started last night, so we'll see if it starts back up. When we went for the labor check a few weeks ago, the nurse indicated that this kind of cramping / contracting is a good thing, as it helps make the next stages of labor easier. Was she trying to make me feel better about the "tease" contractions? Perhaps... :)
