Quick updates about the girls:
Liv is sitting, rolling, and "talking" with Morgen a ton. She's still super good natured and loves Morgen. She laughs at nearly everything that Morgen does, which doesn't help Mommy enforce rules about being gentle, silliness at the table during meals, etc. Ah, well. She'll be beyond silliness before we know it, so I won't wish for that too soon.
Morgen has spent the last 4-6 weeks really increasing the length of her sentences, and she's sharing concepts, opinions, and talking about the recent past. The future makes sense to her sometimes but we occasionally struggle with that topic, especially if birthday parties or playgrounds are involved.
Morgen has stopped tearing books, so she now has big girl books in her room. That's pretty neat. Our nighttime routine now looks a little more like this:
dinner
joint bubble bath
liv exits bath earlier to get into pj's and have her last bottle
m helps read a short book to liv
one parent puts liv in bed while the other reads to m
Liv is growing like a weed - or a lead weight. She's getting really heavy, and my waist isn't thin enough to let my hip provide the support that it could. ;) We're starting to look at her next car seat, since time is moving at the aforementioned faster-than-i-can-keep-up rate. We'll actually swap the seats, so Liv will be in Morgen's and stay facing back for a bit longer, and M will get a new seat. Good times.
We're also about to look for our next car. I'm stuck on Subaru's, but Jeff isn't sold just yet. He'll give his lease back in May and take the truck from me. He's used it on a tour already and was a big fan. That should reduce the miles put on it by half! I drive a lot more now that we live so far from town (and everything else).
We've been checking out various activities around town - family yoga, soccor tots, and indoor pools - but haven't chosen anything yet.
Liv's awake, so that's all for now!
